Service 222 and 222B scenario
This happened sometime in the past. It seems 2 222s (no pun intended) are arriving together, and then a 222B also appears, right after the 2 222s.
222B only makes sense if it arrives before the main 222, as its' aim is to serve the Chai Chee loop to and fro Bedok, hence spreading the crowd, and thus relieving the main 222 load. However, if a 222 arrive before a 222B, most will simply take the 222, and ignore the 222B. This happened more than once, and resulted in a completely-empty 222B, with a full 222 in front.
Imagine 2 222s now appear just before the 222B. No one will bother about the 222B, and the whole 222B trip will only be wasting fuel. I think if 222B is allowed to go to the bus stop just before a 222 arrives, it will serve its' purpose well. Currently, 222B will only arrive at the stipulated timings, which is fixed, while road conditions aren't which affects 222 arrival timings. Hence, it will be impossible to always align the bus timings to avoid wasted 222B trips.
