Service 7/7A/7B

Post by Admin »

Below write-up for main service
Direction 1 Bedok Int - Clementi Int
Service 7 will turn right towards New Upper Changi Road, after turning out of Bedok North Avenue 1 (from Bedok North Drive). It will then go straight, passing by the MRT tunnel, and the famous Geylang Serai Market. The night scenery is very nice, especially nearing festive seasons. After passing by City Plaza, it will turn left into Guillemard Road, where the whole stretch of Geylang is bypassed.

After turning out of Sims Way, service 7 will turn left to Geylang Road, where the Geylang Lorong 1 Terminal is situated. Passing the bridge, it will turn left again to Crawford Street, to head to North Bridge Road, where it will pass by Bras Basah Complex. It will then turn right at Stamford Road, where it will head towards Orchard area using Penang Road. Shopping centres like 313@Somerset and Ngee Ann City are seen on the right side of the bus.

Travelling out of the shopping district, service 7 heads to Clementi, passing by foreign embassies like the British High Commision, and the Botanic Gardens. It will travel along Holland Road, and along Ulu Pandan Road. It will then make a series of turns into Clementi Avenue 5, serving the HDB estate with the single bus stop. After this bus stop, the bus will arrive at Clementi Interchange.

Do folks realise sv7 is a fast link from ORC to Clementi?

Semi express with few passengers boarding along Napier,Holland, Ulu Pandan, it beats taking MRT.

7A/B was introduced as a backup to the unstable train network with its frequent breakdowns.

With the completion of the works or even during upgrading works, both 7A.B have few passengers, bunching is a daily occurence at all times.

When the bus reach their terminal stop midway, they revert back to the parent creating extra seats but take up rate is low...

Wastage of scarce resources...
