Differences between MAN A95 batches

Differences between MAN A95 batches

I will start with Demo (SMB5888H) as the base model. Will try to list every small difference I can spot, not including livery.

Demo to Batch 1 (SMB5889E - SMB5904U)
  1. Battery compartment now below driver's window
  2. Daytime Running Lights (DRL) added
  3. EDS changed to Mobitec (from Aesys Libra EDS, until 2016)
  4. Gap around front EDS removed
  5. Grille design changed
  6. MAN badge added
  7. Rear grille added near bottom (except SMB5889E)
  8. Rear top now black (vs grey)
  9. Seats changed
  10. Staircase now with straight design (vs conventional curved)
  11. Tree guards added
  12. Window now curved at the side window, top deck, rear, for both corners (vs only top corner)
  13. Seats changed from Ster NewCity to Vogelsitze System 750/3 seats, as standard on all MAN A22, A24 and ADL Enviro 500 Buses
Batch 1 to Batch 2 (SG5740C - SG5799J)
  1. Tree guards removed
  2. USB ports added for last 10 buses(SG5790H - SG5799J)
  3. Window now curved at the side window, bottom deck, rear, for both corners (vs right-angled)
Batch 2 to one-off DD L(SG5999Z) (SG5999Z exclusive)
  1. Rear Windows(both upper and lower decks) are angled at the back
  2. Large grey stripe added behind front door
  3. Side EDS moved to second window from front, vs right behind front door for Batch 1 and 2 buses
  4. Headlights and foglights redesigned, likely taken from MAN's trucks lineup
  5. Rear design updated, black portion extends to lower deck
  6. Seats are redesigned with a completely different colour and come with headrests
  7. Upper deck comes with a pair of rear-facing seats right behind front staircase(Unique to SG5999Z only)
Batch 2 to Batch 3 (SG5800M - SG5920A, SG2017C)
  1. Engine now with Euro VI specification (SG2017C)
  2. Headlights and fog lights redesigned
  3. Interior air con grey ceiling slightly redesigned
  4. Upper, Lower side windows now angled at rear of bus
  5. Rear lights now have 1 more brake light, and several changes in position
  6. Rear number plate holder concaved (vs flush with body)
  7. Side EDS changed to 2nd window (vs 1st window)
  8. Side grey strip added
  9. Upper side windows now angled downwards at front of bus
Within Batch 3 (e.g. SG5920A vs SG5800M)
  1. Headlights and front design slightly redesigned, angled lower
  2. Rear black area redesigned
  3. Rear number plate holder redesigned
  4. Red plastic beside rear lights slightly smaller
  5. Side grey strip added
Batch 3 to Batch 4 (SG5921Y onwards)
  1. EDS changed to Gorba
  2. Engine now with Euro VI specification (SG2017C)
  3. Fog lights removed
  4. Interior layout changed, now with 2 wheelchair bays
  5. MAN badge now with black accent
  6. Passenger Information Display System (PIDS) redesigned, now with colour LCD
  7. Rear black area slightly redesigned
  8. Rear EDS shifted upwards
  9. Rear number plate holder reverted to Batch 3 earlier models design
  10. Side EDS now with colour LCD
  11. USB charging ports now between seats (vs at the side wall)
  12. Seats are Vogelsitze System 750/3 setas, but seat covers utilize a high-friction PVC material which provides more comfort(same seats are used in the latest MAN A22 Euro 6 buses)
That's all I could think of. Any more that I missed?

SMB5888-SMB5904:Batch 1 E5
SG5740-SG5799:Batch 2 E5
SG5800-SG5920:Batch 3 E5
SG5921 onwards:Batch 4 E6

Exceptional is SG2017 fall under Batch 3(Bodyworks/Taillights)
although its Euro 6.

some A95 Euro 6 buses has added handstraps at the front; above the 1st wheelchair bay. Most originally got no handstraps at the front.
