TIBS buses that were integrated into the SMRT fleet following the merger of TIBS and SMRT to form SMRT Buses inherited the design of its new operator, SMRT. An example is shown below:
This is taken from TIB1215Z(KJDEP SP), an O405G that was originally owned by TIBS and subsequently absorbed into the SMRT fleet following the merger.
For buses purchased under the BCM(Bus Contracting Model), the design used will correspond to the PTO which operates the bus. An example is shown below:
This is taken from SG5825S(KJDEP 985), a bus that was purchased under the BCM and assigned to SMRT.
Due to similar reasons, the MAN Lion's City DD L 3 Door Concept Bus will also inherit the sign of the operator that owns it for the duration of its trial, as seen below:
This is taken from SG5999Z(BNDEP 7/7A) during its trial with SBST Transit(which, at the time of writing, is still ongoing) on

PTOs may also design their own version, as long as it fits the requirements of LTA. Go-Ahead Singapore(
GAS
) has designed its own "Give way to Buses" signage, which can be seen here:This is taken from SG1201T(LYDEP), operating on
382W
. Notice how GAS has its own unique style as well? However, LTA has, under the BCM, reacquired buses from PTOs and reassigned them to another operator. At times, due to the rush in getting the buses into operation with the new PTO, a situation might arise whereby a bus owned by a certain PTO uses the sign from a different PTO. An example is shown below:
This is taken from SG5024L(BUDEP 98), a Tower Transit Singapore(
TTS
)-owned bus that is operated on 974
. Notice how this bus, despite it being operated by TTS, uses the signage from SBST?Then again, TTS, at the time of writing, does not have its own design for this signage yet as it has been observed that majority of TTS buses utilize the signage from SBST. A more clear-cut example can be seen below:
This is taken from SG5425M(WLDEP 962), a B9TL operated by SMRT. Notice how, despite being operated by SMRT, utilizes the signage from SBST? It is possible that in the rush to get this bus into service, LTA or SMRT has neglected to change the sign to the ones on SMRT-owned buses.

. Despite being a GCM bus and assigned to SBS Transit from registration, it has the sign from SMRT buses and ex-SMRT TTS buses. Rush to push this bus into service?
