Bus air-con temperatures

Let's start a topic on bus air-con temperatures. My Galaxy S4 phone was used as the thermometer (it was one of the rare phones with a built-in thermometer), using a 3rd party app. The phone was held from the sides, so as to not affect the sensor at the bottom of the device. It is held around 80cm away from the air outlet, directly blowing at the phone. The temperature was allowed to be stabilised, before taking the rough reading.

Sad to day, eyeball socket fitted in SIN buses do not have the flaps to close/reduce the aircon flow.

The older buses(WA O405) had them, so did the initial batch of ADDs.

HKG buses eyeball socket still have working flaps

SBST has progressively covered up a few ducts(upper n lower) for its WEG II fleet...

Indeed true. In the past only the SMRT buses had those flaps. Do the later MAN buses still have those flaps?

SBST never had those flaps. I suspect they either removed them, or simply plucked them out (for those with the middle adjustable wheel). The only way to block the air con is hence to put the "eyeball" at 90 degrees.
